Renowned Brazilian Singer Darlyn Morais Dies From Spider Bite

Renowned Brazilian singer, Darlyn Morais, is dead.

According to the Daily Mail, the 28-year-old singer sadly lost his life due to a spider bite.

Morais became unwell after a spider bit him on the face at his home in Miranorte, a city in northeastern Brazil, on October 31.

In a similar incident, Morais’ 18-year-old stepdaughter also suffered a spider bite and is currently under medical care.

Jhullyenny Lisboa, Morais’ wife, shared with the Brazilian news outlet G1 that the stepdaughter’s condition is stable.

Lisboa mentioned that Morais experienced considerable tiredness, and the bruise on his face started changing colour due to the spider bite.

As the week progressed, Morais developed allergic reactions and sought medical attention at a hospital in Miranorte, where he was treated and subsequently discharged on Friday.

Lisboa recounted, “He felt weakness in his body, and his face began to darken on the same day (October 31). He went to the hospital and was admitted to Palmas General Hospital this Sunday.

Morais was a performer of forró, a beloved music genre in Brazil’s northeast region, characterized by the use of accordion, zabumba, and metal triangle.

His musical trio consisted of his brother and a close friend.

Wesleya Silva, his cousin, shared, “He was always surrounded by friends and found reasons to celebrate. Always cheerful and amiable with everyone around him. Possessing a huge heart, he consistently lent a helping hand to those in need.

Morais, who had a six-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son with his wife, had plans to host a live show in January 2024, to be recorded and released on DVD, according to his friend Samuel Zhytor.

Zhytor expressed, “He was highly cherished in our region. He consistently provided numerous opportunities for me, both within and outside the state.
