Dr Patrick Asadu is the only senatorial candidate who emerged as a choice candidate from members of his political party for Enugu north senatorial zone. This is in contrast to other candidates that emerged as either hand picked by one man at lion building Enugu or as child of circumstances.
Secondly, Dr Pat Asadu is the only candidate who has the credentials and wherewithal to secure a principal officer of the senate of Federal Republic of Nigeria as an old timer in the national assembly judging by the provisions of Senate Rules.We shall not lose sight of the fact that the position of principal officer of the senate or by extension national assembly has eluded Enugu north senatorial zone since 1999 just like a minister of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Thirdly, Dr Pat Asadu has a greater national or central political exposure than his adversaries who are mostly exhumed from former occupants of offices in Enugu state. It follows that his adversaries cannot give what they don’t have as it is said in legal aphorism Nemo dat quod non habet.
Moreover, Dr Pat Asadu believes in internal democracy. He demonstrated this by not giving any attention to some disgruntled elements of the party in Enugu state who are after entertaining themselves with liquor at every beer parlour in Nsukka and at one military drinking joint in Enugu. They drink and take photographs of themselves with a woman of their choice in beer parlours instead of marketing NDC at grass roots.Dr Pat Asadu has been working assiduously to rehabilitate them and bring them to normal human being in order to add more value to NDC Enugu state.
Furthermore, Dr Pat Asadu is very ubiquitous in dealing with Enugu North people including the estranged Isi Uzo people. He takes every northern Enugu state person as his person unlike some myopic politicians from northern Enugu state who could not value our God’s given numerical, geographical/ environmental and cultural advantage.
Dr Asadu believes that we are entitled to bogus benefits because of our God’s given advantage.
Moving further, Dr Pat Asadu is a silent achiever. He demonstrated this during his stay at the green chambers for Igbo Eze south and Nsukka Fed constituency.His achievements then are glaringly seen by any person with political and economic foresight.This is unlike the loquacious politicians who believe that the public can be mislead by their talking.
On a higher rate, Dr Pat Asadu is contesting election under NDC a political party fielding Mr Peter Gregory Obi. Mr Peter Gregory Obi is the popular candidate for presidential election on 2027. It shall be counter productive against Mr Peter Obi if we are to adopt the system of pick and drop against NDC on the same day of election of President which is the same day with national assembly election .We can only pick and drop on the day for presidential and national assembly elections in extreme cases of candidates where we discover some inefficiency and impropriety but Dr Pat Asadu is not in the league of extreme cases that we shall drop during the day of presidential and national assembly election.
In conclusion,I have espoused enough points on the reason why we are to despatch Dr Pat Asadu to the red chambers come 2027.
