Co-covener of the ‘Bring Back Our Girls’ movement, Aisha Yesufu, on Friday noted that she will not link her National Identification Number to her phone number as directed by the Federal Government.
The activist in a post on her Twitter account said linking her NIN to her phone number will allow a terrorist sympathiser and his cohorts to be in control of her information.
Yesufu stated this with the hashtag #PantiMustGo which demands the sacking or resignation of the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami.
“Let me repeat categorically what I have said before. I WILL NOT BE LINKING MY NIN to my phone number! I will rather not have a phone line than willingly give my information and have it in the control of a terrorist sympathiser and his cohorts #PantamiMustGo,” Yesufu tweeted.
In another development, Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has declared that enough is enough on just talking about Nigeria’s security challenges without taking appropriate action.
Lalong also added that State Governors can’t be regarded as the chief security officers of their states if they don’t have control of the security apparatus in their respective domains.
