Why I Attended Olubadan Council Meeting - Ladoja

The former Governor of Oyo State and the Otun Olubadan, Rashidi Ladoja, attended and participated in the Olubadan Advisory Emergency Council meeting.

Naija News reports that the emergency council meeting was held at the Alarere home of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Royal Highness Oba Lekan Balogun.

The development could be described as a dramatic turn of events, following the former governor’s refusal to attend the Council’s last meeting on September 18 over the elevation of members of the advisory committee to beaded crown-wearing monarchs, who were present.

Ladoja arrived at the Alarere residence of Oba Balogun at about 11:48 a.m. for the meeting in his black Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep.

Speaking after the meeting, Ladoja said he was invited to the meeting to resolve issues around the constitution of some committees that are the exclusive rights of members of the Olubadan Advisory Council.

He said: “I honoured the invitation for a meeting at the palace to resolve issues around the constitution of some committees that are the exclusive rights of members of Olubadan Advisory Council, including the Chieftaincy Installation and Dispute Resolution Committee.”

In attendance at the meeting are Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehim, Otun Balogun, Oba Tajudeen Abimbola, Osi Olubadan, Oba Eddy Oyewole, Osi Balogun, Oba Lateef Adebimpe, Asipa Balogun, Oba Kolawoke Adegbola, Asipa Olubadan, Oba Kola Daisi, Ekerin Balogun, Oba Isioye Dada, Ekerin Olubadan, Oba Amidu Ajibade, Ekaarun Balogun, Oba Abiodun Agadagudu and Ekaarun Olubadan, Oba Akande.
