The Former Senate President of Nigeria, also Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Most Distinguished Senator Pius Anyim Pius, has today Thursday, January 27, 2022 reaffirmed his readiness and seriousness to run for the exalted Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, while entering strategic Partnership with the Media Publishers Association of Nigeria (MPAN).
In an Interactive Session held in his Abuja Office with Executive Publishers of various Media Outlets that constitute MPAN, which is the largest and most organised Online Media Practitioners Network, housing over One Hundred Media Houses spread across the Country, Sen. Anyim said he will bring all his experiences acquired in previous Services to the Nation, and other Private Establishments to bear, if voted in as president of Nigeria.
A strong partnership understanding was reached between him and MPAN to sensitize Nigerians on his Master Plan to turn around the Socio-Economic and Political Fortunes of Nigeria.
When asked by the youtHouse reporters if he had personally identified any particular gap in Youth Development Efforts in Nigeria, and what he intend doing about such, Sen. Anyim took the House through a highly revealing and heart warming analysis of the New Global Economic Ordet and emerging Fourth Industrial Revolution which, he believes, will throw many people out of Physical Jobs, replacing Manual Labour with Robotics and Electronics, hence, he has designed a well articulated and revolutionary Training and Re-Educational Strategy to prepare and equip the Nigerian Youth and Young Persons with relevant Skills and Knowledge Base, with accompanying Starter Funds, to deploy them profitqble into the New Economic Realities. He stated emphatically that greater portion of his Dreams for New Nigeria is centered around the Youth and for the benefits of Young People all over Nigeria.
Responding to a Question if his Aspiration for Presidency was inspired by the marginalization of the South East and Ndigbo within the Polity of the Nation, he answered that, in as much as he was a proud Igboman desiring the well-being of his People and Zone, he however remains a totally detrabiled Nigerian with strong passion for a unified and stable Country that will foster Prosperity for everyone, irrespective of Ethnicity or Religious Persuasions.
He further stated that even if his Party, the Peoples’ Dedemocratic Party, does not zone the Office of President to South East, but opens it to all, that he would go ahead to contest in the Primaries to pick the Ticket. He concluded by assuring the Media that he realizes their importance and worth, hence, will never take them for granted and will partner as many Media Outfits as desire to work with his Campaign Organization in the Processes.
