The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Engineer James Adepoju, has died, Naija News reports.

This online newspaper reports that Governor Makinde’s aide died on Wednesday on January 13, 2021.

While confirming Adepoju’s death, the chief press secretary to the state governor, Taiwo Adisa, did not reveal what killed the aide.

The deceased was reportedly appointed in 2020 by the Oyo state governor as one of his special advisers.

Adepoju was a graduate of Civil Engineering from the University of Ibadan.

He was involved in several projects in the state.

Meanwhile, Governor Makinde has frowned at traditional rulers who allow non-indigenes to enter into their various domains without proper documentation.

According to the governor, some foreigners without proper documentation have infiltrated the state and are contributing to the rising insecurity in the state.

Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Taiwo Adisa in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday, Makinde warned monarchs in the state against allocating land to any foreigner without proper documentation in their domains, noting that such would not be tolerated.

The governor assured that his administration would ensure that foreigners in the state were properly documented very soon.
