ONE YEAR OF PURPOSEFUL ACHIEVEMENTS BY HON. (AMB) JIBRIL ABDULLAH MUREGI, EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF MOKWA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA 2023:

Health:

  1. Purchase and supply of drugs to kpautagi Primary Health Care Clinic
  2. Purchase and supply of drugs to Koshaba Primary Health Care Clinic
  3. Purchase and supply of drugs with five hundred (₦500,000.00) naira cash donation to Kagowogi Primary Health Care Clinic
  4. Completion of Zhiwu Primary Health Care (ongoing)
  5. Medical outreach to Muregi and Sunlati on whooping cough outbreak. Medical outreach to Jiffu on cholera and to Kudu on diarrhea.
  6. Facilitation of Corp Medical Doctor and Nurse to Mokwa General Hospital with prompt payment of Monthly allowance, accommodation and welfare packages.
  7. Intervention to Mokwa General Hospital
  8. Medical support to individuals

Education:

  1. Payment/registration of 2021/2022 academic session for ten (10) students sponsored by the Local government in School of Nursing Bida, Midwifery Minna, Health Technology Minna/Tunga Magajiya, and Nursing School Kontagora
  2. Full scholarship to ten (10) MOKWA indigents to study health and health related courses in the above institutions.
  3. Educational support to over fifty (50) Mokwa indigenes in various higher institution of learning.

Security:

  1. Repair of police patrol vehicle
  2. Peace accord and resolution of communal crises in Ja’agi Community, Eppa & Eti-sheshi etc.
  3. Stabilization of MOKWA township peace
  4. Stabilization of crises between Sunti Golden Sugar Company and host communities.
  5. Support to security outfits in Mokwa.

Agriculture:

  1. 500 youths and women empowerment in poultry farm
  2. Facilitation of 140 hybrid seedlings of palm tree through Raw Materials.

Works & infrastructure:

  1. Construction and donation of canoe to Lenfa-kuso Community stationed at kpata-ega.
  2. Donation of office stationaries to the next office of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and DPM.
  3. Total renovation of the Kuta Muregi’s Palace, still ongoing.
  4. Total renovation of the Mokwa Council Legislative Chambers and office of the Speaker
  5. Backfilling of road in Dukune Village.
  6. Backfilling of Mokwa main Market Road
  7. Backfilling of Kara Market, Jebba.
  8. Donation of gravels to Mokwa Eid praying ground.

Sport:

  1. Registration of Mokwa United in to the Nationwide League One Division Two (Youths league) football competition.
  2. Registration of Mokwa Local Government Football Team into the Niger State Governor’s Cup football competition 2023 with donation of a set of Jersey, welfare packages and accommodation.

Social Services:

  1. Support to victims of bandits attack in Mokwa and Bokani IDPs with cash and food items.
  2. Facilitation of a town hall meeting through the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company to find lasting solution to Mokwa township electricity supply.
  3. Monthly allowances to the Serving Corp members in Mokwa Council Secretariat.
  4. Renewal of Military Resident in Mokwa
  5. Support and sponsorships of Health Department staffs to attend state functions.
  6. Constitute and support Mokwa National Population Committee 2023 for effective service delivery.
  7. Constitute and support committees of Revenue and Sport.
  8. Interventions to individuals and groups e.g FOMWAN, FOMYA, and MOKWA-KINTI Youth Network
  9. Donation of T-shirts

Human capital/employment:

  1. Replacement of over one hundred health workers in the Primary Health Department
  2. Appointment of eleven Mokwa indigenes as aides, including SA Physically Challenged and Student.

Electricity:

  1. Supply and installation of Solar power lights in Kara Market, Jebba
  2. Facilitation of twelve drums of transformer oil to Mokwa donated by mainstream energy
  3. Facilitate the donation of transformer to New Muregi by Mainstream Energy
  4. Facilitate the donation of transformer to Mokwa by Mainstream Energy
  5. Payment of Electricity Bill, Mokwa PHC to aid the storage of vaccine and other medical kits.

Transport:

  1. Purchase and donation of 3 nos Transport Services bus (sharon).
  2. Overhaul of Chairman’s official vehicle (Hilux).
  3. Purchase and donation of 10 motorcycles to Council Legislatures
