Obiano Denies US Immigration Stopped Him From Returning To Nigeria

Obiano

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has denied reports that he was stopped from returning to Nigeria by authorities in the United States of America.

Reports had emerged online on Tuesday claiming that Governor Obiano was stopped from returning to Nigeria because of an altercation he had with some airport officials.

But reacting through the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, C-Don Adinuba, described the story as fabricated by Obiano’s political opponents.

He said: “The governor travelled with a diplomatic passport. So, the story is rubbish. It’s nonsensical and foolish to think that somebody with a diplomatic passport can be stopped from returning to his country for any reason by airport authorities.

“We know the author of that garbage. He is an aide to a governorship aspirant. He was jobless until he was engaged recently by the aspirant and he wants to impress his paymaster.”

The National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Media Warriors, Chinedu Obigwe said, “The return of the governor to the country clothed the opposition elements behind the fabricated tissue of lies with shame.”

Meanwhile, Bandits who threw Niger State in fear after abducting 27 students and 15 workers of Government Science College, Kagara, has said the state will not know peace.

A leader of the bandits while negotiating with a representative of the affected school vowed that the state would not know peace until it disbands vigilantes.

The abductor described efforts of the security men as a waste of time, nothing that they are well informed of every of their moves.

He said: “Your deploying security officials in Kagara is a waste of time. Is there a fence in this forest? You know we are not in the cities, we are in the forest”.

“In all of your (Niger State) madness, you are not up to Zamfara. It was compelled to accept our terms and talk less of small fries like you. You see, if you want to seek peace, seek peace and if you don’t stop the activities of vigilantes in Niger you will not know peace forever.”
