No Difference Between Kanu, Igboho, Shekau – Adamu Garba

APC Chieftain, Adamu Garba Leaves Politics

Former Presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, on Saturday said there is no difference between the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, and the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau.

Garba who took to his Twitter account wrote, “There is practically no difference between Nnamdi Kanu, Sunday Igboho and Abubakar Shekau except that Shekau started much earlier than the rest two. Plain and simple!”

The former Presidential aspirant who noted that he initially supported the approach employed by an Islamic cleric, Ahmad Gumi, to end banditry, condemned him for attacking the government in the process.

“I like Sheikh Gumi’s initial approach I was in supported of him. However, it turned out he’s very critical of government while seeking peace. This is contradictory. As a peace negotiator, he should seek a level playing field than the outright condemnation of one against the other,” he added.

Meanwhile, Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka said states may need to shut down some of their activities in solidarity whenever a child is kidnapped.

He stated this while speaking during an award lecture and public presentation of his latest book, ‘Chronicles of the Happiest People on Earth’, held in Ogun state on Saturday.
