Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle has lamented that the current wave of insecurity can sink the North if urgent solutions are not deployed.
To this end, the Governor has called for a state of emergency to be declared in the north.
Matawalle made the call on Wednesday when he received the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of zone 10, Ali Janga at the Zamfara Government House, Gusau.
In his view, the security situation in the region is getting overwhelming and in need of urgent action.
Naija News reports that zone 10 Command of the Nigeria Police Force covers the North-western states. The Zonal Command comprises Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara State commands with its headquarters in Sokoto.
