IYD: UN-SDG YOUTH HEADQUARTERS IN SOUTH KOREA, ORGANISES GLOBAL EVENT TO RAISE AWARENESS AND
UNIT YOUTHS ACROSS THE WORLD

In commemoration of this year’s International Youth Day, the SDG Youth International Headquarters, Seoul, Korea organised a Global Youth event that brought together 450 Youth from across the world (Hybrid). The event was aimed at uniting the Youth to raise awareness on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.

The event attracted passionate Youth who were eager to make positive impacts in their Communities and beyond, as we had messages from notable personalities, among whom were the 93rd Prime Minister of Japan, Yukio Hatoyama; a Member of Parliament of the Republic of Korea; CEO of Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, the Advisor on Youth at the United Nations, Kenya,; and the Country /African Regional Representative of SDG Youth – Uzoh Ifeanyi C.

Among issues discussed was the need to move away from pilot projects and scale up actions on the SDGs, while the highlight was the launch of the SDG Youth Ambassador Program for Africa.
