Voting has commenced to decide the Year 2021 Winner of the PILLAR OF PEACE & UNITY IN NIGERIA, among the four names ealier nominated for the year, which are Gen. Yakubu Gowom Rtd, Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo Rtd, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida Rtd, and President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
According to the ONE-NATION-FOREVER Project Team, the four names will be subjected to the general public for One Month period of Voting via SMS only. After the month-long Voting, the Nigerian Youth Leaders Electoral College (NYLEC) shall sit to decide the best among the topmost two names from the Public Voting.
The dedicated line for the Voting is 07058674274. Every Voter is to use there personal GSM line and entitled to vote only once.
To vote for Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Voters are to text GYG to 07058674274. To vote Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, text OBJ to 07058674274. To vote Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, simply text IBB to 07058674274. And to vote President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, text GEJ to 07058674274.
Voting Closes by exactly 6:00 pm on March 26, 2021. The Result will be officially announced on May 29, 2021, while the Nigerian Youth Leaders Electoral College (NYLEC) would sit on June 12, 2021 to vote between the top Two names to produce the overall winner to be officially announced same day.
The Investiture Ceremony shall hold in first week of October 2021 during the ONE-NATION-FOREVER Banquet of Peace & Unity to commemorate the Year 2021 Independence Day Anniversary.
It would be recalled that the Year 2020 Edition was won by Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar Rtd.
