Abductors Of UI Student Demand N100 Million Ransom

Suspected gunmen have burned down a police station located in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.

According to DailyTrust, the gunmen overpowered some police officers at the station and freed some suspects in detention.

The attack on the police station has become a major topic of discussion as police stations in the southern part of Nigeria have suffered attacks in the last two weeks.

Recall that the Anambra Police Command on Friday foiled an attack on Ekwulobia Police station in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State on Friday.

A few hours later, a bus conveying suspects to the court, still in Ekwulobia was attacked while a prison official was shot dead and the suspects were freed.

Twenty-four hours before that incident, policemen and naval officers were killed in different locations across the state.

An armed gang gunned down three policemen at Neni junction in Anaocha LGA of the state, while their vehicle was set ablaze, while the three Naval officers were shot dead at Awkuzu, in Oyi LGA.
