GOV. ZULUM AND GOV. AYADE EMERGE NEAP PILLARS OF EDUCATIONAL DEV IN NIGERIA, YEAR 2020/2021 SESSION.

At the Maiden Edition of the National Education Award Programme (NEAP), which held at the Main Auditorium of the Federal Ministry of Education Abuja on December 10, 2020, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, Governor of Borno State and Prof. Sen. Benedict Ayade, Governor of Cross River State emerged and were both honoured as Pillars of Educational Development in Nigeria for the Northern and Southern Regions of the Country respectively for the Year 2020/2021 Session.

The National Education Award Programme (NEAP) is a robust Extrinsic Incentivization Mechanism (EIM) to stimulate positive and rapid growth in the Learning, Teaching,  Administrative, Promotional Processes in Nigeria Educational Ecosystem. NEAP is a Private-Public Partnership (PPP) that has developed effective Reward System for everyone and Stakeholders in the Educational Sector of the Federation.

The Programme which has the Minister of State for Education, Rt. Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba as Chief Facilitator and recipient of the Beacon of Educational Development Award, and Techvibe Ltd as Technical Facilitator, held with huge success despite the challenges and setbacks occasioned by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Keynote Speaker for the Maiden Edition was the Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, with the Founder of Afe babalola University Ekiti as Special Guest of Honour, and both were ably represented by high profile Professors at the Event.

The 2020 / 2021 NEAP Educational Season is the first in the series of this Anual Educational Award Programme. Speaking to the youtHouse reporters, the Executive Director of NEAP and Chairman of the Project Implementation Board, Comr. Yakubu John expressed great satisfaction at the outcome of the Maiden Edition, while appreciating the Federal Ministry of Education, especially the Director and Department of Basic & Secondary Education for the sacrifices and enormous support

In his own words, the Executive Secretary of NEAP and Secretary of the Project Implementation Board, Oscar David Kalu said that the 2021/2022 Season, which will be the Second Edition, will be far more glorious and shall target some International Bodies, Development Partners and Diplomatic Corps that have contributed remarkably to Educational Development in Nigeria.
