Daughter Of Late Sardauna of Sokoto, Aishatu Ahmadu Bello Is Dead

Aishatu Ahmadu Bello, a daughter to the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Ahmadu Ibrahim Bello, has been confirmed dead.

Though the cause of her death is yet to be confirmed, Naija News learnt the widow of the late Marafan Sokoto, Ahmad Danbaba died on Friday at the age of 75. Her son, Hassan Danbaba who disclosed the sad development to newsmen a few hours ago revealed that Aishatu died at a Dubai hospital after a brief illness.

Mr Danbaba revealed that arrangements are being made to bring down to Nigeria the remains of his mother from Dubai for burial in Sokoto.

Aishatu left behind five children, among whom are prominent businessman, Magajin Garin Sokoto Hassan Danbaba and Asmau, the wife of Sarkin Sudan Shehu Malami.

Naija News understands the deceased’s father, Sir Ahmadu Bello, was a conservative Nigerian statesman who masterminded Northern Nigeria through the independence of Nigeria in 1960 and served as its first and only premier from 1954 until he was killed in a military coup in 1966

Meanwhile, Naija News had reported earlier that the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Sa’ad Abubakar, has lost his elder brother, Buhari Abubakar III.
Buhari Abubakar III until his death was the district head of Sokoto North.
