The Misau / Dambam Political Awareness Forum has officially denounced the Member representing them at the Federal House of Representative, Hon. Ibrahim Makama Misau, for alleged gross misconduct.
In a Communique issued sequel to series of Consultative Sessions, climaxed in a Town Hall Meeting held on 18th September, 2021 at Dambam Local Government Area, the Group vehemently condemned the action and activities of Hon. Makama, describing them as highly enemical to the developmental agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressive Congress (APC)

“BEING A COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF A TOWN HALL MEETING CONVEYED BY MISAU /DAMBAM FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY CONCERNED GROUP HELD AT DAMBAM LOCAL GOVERNMENT ON THE 18th SEPTEMBER 2021
Gentlemen of the press,
Sequel to series of meetings and consultations among various Stakeholders and a significant proportion of electorates, and having keenly observed the ongoing political brouhaha in Bauchi State, particularly, as it involves our federal house of Representatives member, Hon Ibrahim Makama Misau and his cohorts. Which in effect, amounted to avoidable and unnecessary overheating the politics of our dear party as well, distracting the development agenda of President Buhari and his other colleagues and diversion of public funds; We in Misau /Dambam unanimously resolved to state our position in an unambiguous and unequivocal terms as follows :
- We are using this medium to inform the world in every strongest term possible that, we denounce, detest and disclaim Hon. Ibrahim Makama Misau Mismanagement of constituency allowances funds and diversion of public property to his personal gain. Despite of non-completion of his minors projects while traced by TRACKA.NG and FGBUDGET UNIT where he received over 96 Millions Naira From MDA’s
- The meeting also inferred that, we send him (Hon. Ibrahim Makama Misau) to Abuja to represent the good people of his Constituency, to attract dividend of democracy and to protect our collective interest, NOT to be engaging his fellow party members in a fierce media battle for his personal interest and the interest of whosoever have political vendetta to settle with anyone.
- The meeting also concluded that, the collective interest of his Constituency, Bauchi State and Nigeria at large is superior to his personal interest and that of his political Association in Abuja and therefore should stick to his primary assignment.
- We also resolved that, NO ANY meaningful development can come to our Constituency with our House of Representatives member joining issue with many stakeholders in the state and Nigeria at large.
- We concluded that, instead of spending huge sum of money in print and electronic media in his effort to become media HERO, he should rather channel the resources to his Constituents at the grassroots, for construction of health and education facilities and other social amenities.
- A stand was also reached that, Hon Makama continuous defiance to President Buhari’s call for aggrieved parties to sheath thier sword in the Bauchi State political saga, is NOT in anyway a reflection of our collective interest and as such. He may soon face the wrath of RECALL from his electorates.
It is vivid that the unfolding development in Bauchi State politics has been a major cause of concern to every Patriotic citizen of Bauchi State, particularly as it involves Hon. Makama as the major actor. The aftereffects of his allegations and counter allegations, in compliance with ongoing media crusade is fast engulfing the good image of his Constituency, prominent personalities and the Nigerian first prime minister’s home state and we appraise it necessary to express our great displeasure and to state in an unmitigated terms that we say NO to Hon. Makama’s misrepresentation and that if he continue to toe the plank of judas in preference to replicating the good work of his colleagues in the other parts of the state, will indeed end-up having no one to be blamed but rather the consequency of his misdoing. We cannot fold our arms and allow things to continue falling apart. He must be reminded that he is in the House to represent his Constituency, to protect our collective interest and to attract dividend of democracy to our dear state in particular, not to pursue his selfish political interest and personal aggrandizement. We therefore reckon upon Mr. Makama TO SHAPE UP or SHIP OUT
In conclusion, we appreciate your patience and perseverance towards seeing through the end of this epic making press conference.
