Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has said President Muhammadu Buhari has been tolerating rubbish from some people.

In an interview with Television Continental (TVC), Masari said while some other leaders could not stand harsh criticisms, Buhari has been tolerant.

however, Masari, who is the governor of Buhari’s home state of Katsina, did not name the people the president is tolerating their ‘rubbish’.

While insisting that Buhari has not reneged on his campaign promises, the Katsina governor stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains Nigeria’s most reliable party.

Masari said: “Anybody saying the rating of a particular political party has gone down… it can only be tested during elections. And from what we have seen in the (APC) revalidation of new members, I think you are getting it wrong.

“I think APC is still the strongest, most reliable and dependable party in Nigeria today. (And) I don’t think Buhari has failed us. I think he has tolerated us.

“And you know we had a president, even though a civilian president, who couldn’t take all this rubbish that some people are doing. But Buhari is taking everything.”

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has blocked traffic on the Damaturu-Damboa-Biu road following an attack by ISWAP / Boko Haram militants on a military base in Kumuya, Yobe State.

Naija News had earlier reported that the terrorists attacked when troops stationed in Buni Gari went on patrol.

Terrorists with the help of intelligence infiltrated the Kumuya area, attacking villages and military bases and destroying some security equipment.

Reports say the terrorists used heavy weapons to destroy military equipment as well as patrolling the community to prevent the army from re-strengthening itself.

However, the ground troops came and fought them. Eventually, the combined force of the Nigerian army repulsed the attackers.
