AC Milan Plan To Replace Oliver Giroud With Akor Adams

Italian Serie A giants, AC Milan, are reportedly monitoring and considering a deal for Nigerian striker, Akor Adams, currently playing for French Ligue 1 side Montpellier.

Reports in Italy claimed that AC Milan is monitoring Akor Adams and intends to replace him with French veteran striker, Oliver Giroud, who could leave the Italian Serie A giants next summer.

Adams has performed exceptionally well in Ligue 1 since moving there from Lillestrom for €4.5 million last summer’s transfer window.

The former Nigeria U-20 striker’s outstanding goal tally is only eclipsed by France’s captain, Kylian Mbappe, who tops the scoring chart with 13 goals from nine games.

Since securing a transfer to Montpellier after an incredible season in Norway, where he finished with 17 goals and 2 assists in 17 games, Adams has proven his abilities to the world.

Italian newspaper Gianluca di Marzio claims that AC Milan is considering bidding for the Nigerian player after being pleased with Adams’ results in France.

With 11 games played, Adams has already scored seven goals, nearly half of Montpellier’s Ligue 1 total goals for the season.

“Milan continues to be very active in recent weeks to monitor various profiles given the winter transfer market session. The new names for the defense and attack are Alessandro Marcandalli, a central defender born in 2002 for Reggiana (but owned by Genoa), and Akor Adams, a striker born in 2000 for Montpellier.

“Akor Adams is showing off himself at the start of the season in Ligue 1 with seven goals scored in eleven French league appearances. Last season the Nigerian striker played for Lillestrøm SK, a team from the Eliteserien, the Norwegian top league, and scored fifteen goals in fifteen games.” the website wrote.
