FG Identifies Sunday Igboho’s Sponsors, Exposes How He Received Millions From 43 Accounts

The Federal Government has identified the sponsors of the agitator for Yoruba Nation, Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, as it unraveled how Igboho got monies from 43 bank accounts, across nine banks.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN, who made this public on Friday, reiterated President Muhammadu Buhari’s disclosure that one of Igboho’s sponsors is a serving member of the National Assembly.

Naija News recalls that after Igboho’s house in Ibadan, Oyo state was on July 1, 2021, invaded by personnel of the Department of State Services (DSS), who recovered charms and weapons from his residence.

Femi Otedola Reportedly Takes Over First Bank With ₦30bn

Nigerian billionaire businessman and investor, Femi Otedola, on Friday, reportedly took over First Bank of Nigeria Plc.

According to The Street Journal, Otedola took over the bank with the acquisition of about ₦30 billion worth of shares, making him the single largest shareholder of the bank.

Otedola, being the largest shareholder, holds the highest voting shares, giving him power to dictate the direction of the bank through his voting power.

Andy Uba Fears Anambra People Because Of His Actions Under Obasanjo, Okija Shrine – Soludo

The Chukwuma Soludo Gubernatorial Campaign has claimed that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 6 election, Andy Uba, is afraid of his own shadow in the state and has been running from the people of Anambra State for weeks.

Naija News reports that Soludo Campaign stated this in a statement issued in Awka on Thursday by C. Don Adinuba, the Communications Director of the Campaign who is also the Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment

While dismissing Uba’s suspension of his rallies in Anambra on September 30 over insecurity, the Soludo campaign stated that the suspension has nothing to do with the state’s security as its principal has been holding huge rallies all over the state, touring two local government areas daily, together with the state governor, Willie Obiano.

DSS Releases Two Remaining Igboho’s Aides

The Department of States Services (DSS) has released Amoda Babatunde (Lady K) and Jamiu Oyetunji, two associates of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho

Naija News reports that both associates were released on Friday to their lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, after spending 110 days in DSS detention

Recall that the associates were part of the 13 suspects arrested during an invasion of Igboho’s house in Ibadan, Oyo state on July 1, 2021, by DSS operatives.

FG Accuses IPOB Of Killing 175 Security Operatives, Attacking 164 Police Stations

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been accused of attacking 164 police stations and killing 175 security operatives across the country.

Naija News reports that the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, made this known at a press conference in Abuja on Friday.

Malami stated that a Presidential Ad-hoc Committee which was inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate activities of the IPOB came up with the figures.

The Supreme Court in Abuja has declared Valentine Ozigbo as the authentic candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State.

In a judgement delivered on Thursday, the apex court dismissed the suit against Ozigbo’s candidacy and awarded damage of N5 million against Senator Ugochukwu Uba

The panel of justices, led by Justice Inyang Okoro affirmed the decision of the Court of Appeal Awka Division delivered on September 3, which declared Ozigbo the authentic governorship candidate of the PDP.

#EndSARS: Sanwo-Olu Vows To Publish, Implement Judicial Panel Report

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has promised to publish and implement the report of the #EndSARS judicial panel in the state.

The National Assembly on Thursday expressed its readiness to push for bandit terrorists invading and killing innocent Nigeria to be proscribed as a terrorist group.

The lawmakers revealed that its resolution will be forwarded to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, asking President Muhammadu Buhari to declare bandits as terrorists.

This is coming after former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, accused bandits of attacking Abuja-Kaduna train he boarded after planting explosives on the railway.

Secondus Moves To Stop PDP’s National Convention

The suspended National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, has taken steps to stop the convention of the party.

The development was revealed in a letter dated 21st October 2021, and released through his lawyer, Tayo Oyetibo, SAN.

Secondus in the letter disclosed that an appeal has been filed at the Court of Appeal, Port Harcourt Judicial Division in respect to the case filed by one Mr Ibeawuchi E. Alex and four others jointly instituted Suit No PHC/2183/CS/2021.
