The lawmaker stated this on his Twitter account after he accompanied the state Governor, Seyi Makinde on a visit to the Ibarapa Area which has been experiencing attacks from criminal herdsmen.

Ogundoyin noted that the state government is working on ending issues of kidnappings, killings, banditry, armed robbery, rape and destruction of farmlands by herders in Ibarapaland.

He said, “The people called on the Governor to provide more logistics support for Amotekun corps, local hunters, vigilance groups, OPC to enable them to work effectively with the Police, Civil Defence Corps, Soldiers and others to motivate and ensure community policing is more effective.”

“Affected families, communities and areas will be visited and prompt actions shall be taken with immediate effect. Our people’s lives matter and their hard-earned fortune, properties shall be protected too against any form of theft.”

In a related development, the state Governor, Seyi Makinde on Sunday visited Igbo-Ora in Ibarapa local government following the quit notice issued to Fulani herdsmen by Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

Recall that the activist had accused some Fulani herdsmen in the community of killing Dr Fatai Aborode and other residents of the community.
