Brazilian winger, Vinicius Junior has revealed his target as a player of Spanish La Liga giants, Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old Brazilian left-winger, Vinicius has been one of the hottest youngsters at Real Madrid and indeed across the world. The Brazil international started his professional football career at Brazilian club, Flamengo in 2017 and moved to Real Madrid for a transfer fee worth €45 million in 2018.
Since then, Vinicius has played in 234 games in all competitions for Madrid scoring 62 goals and providing 67 assists. He has helped Madrid to win one UEFA Champions League, two FIFA Club World Cups, two Spanish La Liga, one UEFA Super Cup, one Spanish Cup, and two Spanish Super Cups.
Despite these numerous titles in a very short period, Vinicius Jr is aiming for more and his target is to win at least five UEFA Champions League titles for Madrid.
The Brazilian believes that helping Real Madrid win five Champions League titles would make him the club’s legend like Luka Modrić who is still at the club, Karim Benzema, who is now playing for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, Casemiro who is now at Manchester United, and Marcelo of Fluminense.
“New couple and new generation. It’s Real Madrid”, Vinicius said as quoted by transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano today, October 25.
“I see myself winning as many UCL as Luka Modrić, Marcelo, Benzema, also Casemiro… great players who became Real Madrid legends”.
“I want to be like them at Real Madrid”.
So far this season, Vinicius has played 9 games in all competitions in which he scored three goals and provided three assists. With his help, Real Madrid are currently topping 2023-2024 Champions League Group C with 9 points in three games.
