Bayelsa State has become the first beneficiary of the clean cooking gas initiative of the Federal Government, a flagship programme under the Decade of Gas agenda.
The initiative is aimed at advancing access to cleaner, safer and more sustainable cooking energy across the country.
The programme, which promotes the use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), is also geared towards protecting public health, protecting the environment and reducing deforestation.
