Nigerian and Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface is the 4th player in the top five leagues in Europe with the most goal contributions.
Victor Boniface has been enjoying a fantastic season in Germany. Recall that he joined Bayer Leverkusen from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise for a transfer fee worth €20 million during the last summer transfer window.
The only players who rank higher than the 22-year-old Nigerian striker in terms of goal contributions in the top five European leagues are Serhou Guirassy of VfB Stuttgart, Harry Kane of Bayern Munich, and Erling Haaland of Manchester City, who are ranked first, second, and third, respectively.
In just three months since joining Bayer Leverkusen, Victor Boniface has contributed 17 goals (11 goals and 6 assists).
His incredible goal contribution statistics are only surpassed by Kane (with 17 goals and 7 assists), Haaland (with 21 goals and 4 assists), and Guirassy (with an incredible 16 goals and 2 assists).
The Nigeria international has seven goals in 11 games this season, placing him sixth in the Bundesliga’s 2023–24 top scorers, behind only Kane (17), Leroy Sane (eight goals), Loïs Openda (9), Jonas Wind of VfL Wolfsburg, and Serhou Guirassy (15) of VfB Stuttgart.
However, only Kane has more assists than Boniface among all the players.
Boniface is expected to bring that form to the Super Eagles of Nigeria squad as he is currently with the team who are preparing to take on Lesotho at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in their first 2026 World Cup qualifiers game. The game will kick off at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Afterward, he will fly with the team to Rwanda to take on Zimbabwe in the second 2026 World Cup qualification game. The game will kick off at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 19.
