At Tottenham Hotspur stadium, two goals from Son Heung-min, alongside a goal each from Yves Bissouma and Cristian Romero, landed coach Ange Postecoglou a massive 4-0 win over Everton, his first of the season.
At Selhurst Park, West Ham United made the away stadium a home as they beat their host, Crystal Palace, 2-0, thanks to second-half goals from Tomáš Souček and Jarrod Bowen.
Similarly, Nottingham Forest, who were visitors at the St. Mary’s Stadium, stunned the hosts, Southampton, with a 1-0 win, thanks to a strike from Morgan Gibbs-White.
At Craven Cottage, former Arsenal player Emile Smith Rowe scored his first goal for his new club, Fulham, as they defeated their visitors, Leicester City 2-1. Note that Nigerian versatile player Alex Iwobi, who is also a former Gunners player, scored Fulham’s second goal in the game.
At the Etihad Stadium, Erling Haaland scored his first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 Premier League campaign as Manchester City beat newly promoted side Ipswich Town 4-1.
Note that Ipswich Town got the match opener through Sammie Szmodics in the 7th minute before Haaland cancelled the lead via the penalty spot in the 12th minute. Kevin De Bruyne made it 2-1 in the 14th minute, and Haaland made it 3-1 before he completed his hat-trick in the 88th minute.
