A student of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, in Owo, Ondo State, has been murdered by a yet to be identified individual (s).
Naija News learnt that the student whose identity is yet to be revealed was hacked to death on Wednesday, February 10.
However, rumours that the killing of the student was connected with the upcoming Student Union Government election has been debunked by the school public relations officer, Samuel Ojo.
According to him, there was no evidence to back up the claims at the moment, noting that an official statement on the incident will be made available later.
Naija News understands that the student was killed outside the polytechnic campus.
Meanwhile, some yet to be identified assailants have reportedly murdered a farmer in Igangan community of Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Naija News reports that Bashiru Akinlotan, 65, was murdered and his cocoa farm was burnt to ashes by the unknown attackers.
