The Nigeria Police Force has apprehended a police officer, ASP Eyitere Joseph, attached to the Meiran division in Lagos state, for allegedly collecting N50,000 bribe from a corp member.
A video of the officer asking the Corp member for money was shared online.
The acting spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi after viewing the video gave an update on Twitter, stating that the officer had been apprehended and was under investigation.
He explained further that the DPO of Meiran division has been warned that she will be dealt with if such incident occurs again.
Meanwhile, a pregnant woman, Omowunmi Joseph, 43 residing at Odoye area, Alaadorin, Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State, has stabbed her husband to death while sleeping.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 2am on Monday morning Daily Trust reports.
The publication’s correspondent learnt that the rift between the husband and wife began two weeks ago when the deceased informed the wife that he wanted to marry a second wife from his hometown. Read more
