BLESSING ADURE A., REPORTS FOR ABUJA BUREAU

The National Executive Council (NEC) and the Board of Trustees of the Peace Corps of Nigeria regret to announce the unfortunate passage of one of her outstanding and dedicated Officers, Patriot Khadiya, popularly known as “Hajiya”

The sad event which reportedly happened at the early hours of today, 12th May, 2022 left family members, friends, colleagues and love ones of the late Hajiya bewildered and sad.

The late Patriot’s career with the Peace Corps of Nigeria while alive can be best described as a worthy testimony of dedication, diligence and hard work. She was indeed a real definition of commitment, doggedness and excellence. Her leadership qualities and peace building approaches was second to none.

The organization will really miss her useful contributions to the growth and development of the Corps. We wish she will be around to join in the celebration of the transition of the Corps to Nigerian Peace Corps by God’s grace soon, but God knows when to call all mortals home. We are however consoled that she left behind worthy legacies of service to this nation.

The late Patriot Hajiya Khadija served as both Kebbi, Jigawa and Kano State Commandant before she was elevated to the position of Commandant, Administration, North East Zonal Command, a position she held till her sudden demise.

The National Commandant, Prof. Dickson Akoh on behalf of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Peace Corps of Nigeria extends her condolences to the immediate family of our deceased Patriot.
May Almighty Allah grant her soul eternal rest in paradise.
