Our People Are Ready To Restore Biafra – Nnamdi Kanu Spits Fire

Biafra: IPOB's Nnamdi Kanu Reveals Solution To Nigeria’s Problems

Leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has warned that the people of the south-east are ready to restore Biafra.

Naija News recalls that the military had on Thursday launched land and air operations against operatives of Eastern Security Network (ESN) believed to be in the forests in Orlu and its environs.

In a post on his Twitter page on Saturday, the IPOB leader stated that Igbo were ready to reclaim their destiny unilaterally.

Nnamdi Kanu wrote: “Our demand for a #referendum is now drawing closer to the point of moving on to urgent considerations of other options to restore #Biafra.

“Our people are ready. We have the means & wherewithal. What remains is the hour – the hour of reclaiming our manifest destiny, unilaterally.”

The Nigerian Air Force reportedly bombarded some communities in Orlu believed to be harbouring members of the ESN.

It was gathered that the strike started on Thursday morning worsening the already built-up tension in the areas.

A video of the aerial bombardments on Thursday surfaced with fresh tension and anxiety building in the communities.

“Nigerian soldiers are currently conducting aerial strikes in our areas. Many innocent lives may be lost. They are probably looking for ESN operatives who are checking the activities of killer Fulani herdsmen,” a community head told SaharaReporters.

“People’s homes and market places may be affected. We don’t need aircraft in Orlu. They should go and find the stolen school pupils in Niger State,” another angry resident said.

“I have the video. There was an aircraft firing shots possibly in a nearby bush. Very reckless of the airforce; civilians are all over the place,” another person said.
