Manchester United have confirmed that Danish players Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Højlund are currently out with different degrees of injuries.
Earlier on Monday, November 13, reports went viral that Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Højlund have withdrawn from the Danmark national team ahead of the November international break.
Afterwards, Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claimed that Manchester United had confirmed that the Denmark internationals were ruled out of the international break due to injuries.
Eriksen is said to be battling with a knee injury, which is expected to keep him out of football for about a month.
As for Højlund, who joined Manchester United from Atalanta for a transfer fee worth €75 million in August 2023, is suffering from a strain as the club hopes he will return before the end of November.
Since Højlund joined the Premier League giants this season, the 20-year-old centre-forward has scored five goals in 15 games in all competitions for the Red Devils. He is yet to score in the Premier League in 9 league games.
His contract with United is expected to expire on June 30, 2028, which means he still has a lot of years to prove himself at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano claimed that embattled English football star Jadon Sancho is expected to leave Manchester United this January.
The winger, who has been engulfed in a face-off with United’s coach, Erik Ten Hag, over his failure to apologize to the coach for accusing the Dutchman of using him as a “scapegoat”, has attracted interest from Juventus.
Romano claimed that Juventus have asked for “information on Jadon Sancho deal in recent days”, adding that Juventus “are interested but only on loan plus part of salary covered by” Manchester United.
“No negotiations yet as Man Utd prefers to wait for permanent deal bids”, he added.
