Malami Gives Update On Deleting Section 84 (12) Of The Electoral Act As NASS Appeals Court Judgement

The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, on Thursday reacted to the report of his alleged plan to resign from office.

Malami in a statement released on Thursday charged Nigerians to be rest assured that he had no intention to resign as AGF.

There had been reports that Malami has the intention of contesting in the governorship election in Kebbi State.

A speculation which was denied by the Minister, adding that he is focus on discharging his duty.

Malami in a statement released through his Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, Umar Jibrilu Gwandu, said he appreciates the love people have for him.

The statement reads partly, “Malami remains committed to discharging statutory obligations and constitutionally delineated responsibilities in accordance with the provisions of extant laws.

“Malami thanked Nigerians for the demonstration of love and unparalleled interest shown in him.”
