Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Speaks On Attack On Obiozor's Imo Home

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has reacted to the report that President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu from the detention of the Department of State Service (DSS).

There had been reports (not this news platform) that President Buhari ordered the release of the IPOB leader from detention.

The IPOB leader has been in the detention of the DSS since his arrest in 2021 June.

Kanu was arrested in Kenya and repatriated to Nigeria.

The IPOB leader was arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako-led Federal High Court sitting in Abuja following his repatriation to the country.

Kanu was arraigned before the court on charges bordering on terrorism.

Reports which has surfaced online had it that President Buhari ordered the release of the IPOB leader.

The spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, has, however, dismissed the report.

Powerful in a chat with Daily Post said, “That is April fool and IPOB will not be moved by mere talk without action, IPOB is bigger than that.”

In a related development, the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo disclosed that his administration is ready to grant amnesty to agitators willing to lay down their arms.

He stated that after granting amnesty to those willing to end violence, security agents would clamp down on those that rejected the amnesty.
