The Legacy Senator, ENGR. PATRICK NDUBUEZE, yesterday made a strong and passionate case for the urgent resolution of boundary disputes between OKIGWE and UTURU communities located around the ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY SITE.
Sen. Ndubueze drew the attention of the Boundary Commission to this critical matter during a hearing of the Senate Committee on States and Local Governments.
The Leadership of the Commission promised to treat the matter expeditiously liaising with the Governments of both Imo and Abia States.
The Legacy Senator stressed that the communities have been doing all within their powers to manage the conflict peacefully despite the intense pressure and identity crisis posed by this painful development, wherein communities find themselves having pieces of land sitting in two different States.
