It was a red letter day in Okigwe at the Conception Cathedral as Governor Hope Uzodimma, in the company of the Legacy Senator of South East, Engr. Patrick Ndubueze joined a multitude of Christian brethren to celebrate twenty five years of committed service in the vineyard of the Lord by Most Reverend Dr. Solomon Amanchukwu Amatu, the revered Catholic Bishop of Okigwe Diocese.
The atmosphere brimmed with spiritual joy and gratitude to the Almighty as Catholic priests, distinguished clergymen, and eminent sons and daughters of Imo State and beyond converged in holy communion.
This sacred anniversary not only marked 25 years of Bishop Amatu’s episcopal ordination but also served as a powerful manifestation of God’s enduring faithfulness in raising leaders who illuminate the path of righteousness for His people.
Bishop Amatu’s steadfast ministry—marked by pastoral wisdom, tireless evangelization, and compassionate service—has nurtured souls, strengthened the Church, and fostered peace across the diocese. His life exemplifies the biblical call to be “a light to the Gentiles” and a true servant of the Most High.
The celebration culminated in a spiritually enriching book launch, where the Bishop’s authored work was unveiled.
Governor Uzodimma’s presence underscored the harmonious bond between faith and governance, reminding all that true leadership flows from reverence for God.
For Senator Ndubueze, this was another opportunity to display his deep devotion to the Faith and passion for the clergy. The Senator has always identified and supported the works of the Church of Christ, irrespective of denominations, however, with special commitment to the Catholic Church, where he and his family personally worship.
