EPL: Liverpool Trashes Man United At Old Trafford With 2-4 Win

Manchester United was trashed on Thursday night in the English Premier League by its rival club, Liverpool FC.

Naija News reports that the Reds who are struggling to make it to the top four of the league table defeated the Red Devils at Old Trafford with 4 goals against 2.

A flip from Bruno Fernandes had Liverpool’s Philip scored an own goal in 10 minutes of the game start. However, Diogo Jota put a smile on the face of the Reds after he netted a brilliant goal in the 34 minutes of the first half of the game.

A good header from Brazilian footballer, Roberto Firmino earned Liverpool their second goal of the night. Again in the 47 minutes of the second half, Firmino sent a cold chill in the hearts of the Red Devils after scoring his second goal for the night a Old Trafford.

United’s youngster, Marcus Rashford, boosted his teammate’s morale with a 68 minutes goal to make it 2-3. However, Egyptian professional footballer, Mohamed Salah dashed United’s hope for a draw after netting a goal in the 90 minutes of the game.

Liverpool is now in the fifth position on the league table with 4 points behind Chelsea, and also have an outstanding game to play.

Meanwhile, the Champions League final between Chelsea and Manchester City will now be held in Portugal with 6,000 spectators from each club, Naija News reports.

The match, scheduled for May 29, has been moved to Porto, Portugal from Turkey due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
