COVID-19: Fears As NCDC Reports 1964 New Cases Of Coronavirus In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported one thousand nine hundred and sixty-four (1964) new cases of COVID-19 disease in Nigeria.

The new disturbing figures of the dreaded virus was announced on Thursday night, January 21 on the official Twitter account of the disease control agency, Naija News reports.

This brings the overall number of the novel virus in Nigeria to 116,655 with a total of 93,646 people discharged while death claimed 1,485 people.

So far, 1,485 people have died of the killer virus since its outbreak in Nigeria in February 2020.

Below is the breakdown of the latest cases according to states with Lagos State having the highest number of cases followed by the Federal Capital Territory.
