The National Coordinator of the Coalition of Nigerian Youths on Security Affairs (CONYSA), Amb. (Dr.) Ade mario Emmanuel applauded His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, for a timely decision in replacing the former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu with the novel Usman Alkali Baba, in acting capacity.
While making the commendation, Amb. Ade Mario was quoted as saying, “this decision is the best at the moment, considering the internal Security challenges that has bedeviled the Country in recent time, ranging from Kidnapping, Banditry, Armed Robbery, Killings and the likes”
Congratulating the new Ag. Inspector General, the CONYSA Coordinator hoped that the new IGP would employ his wealth of experience aquired, having served the country in various capacities, including being the recent head of Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (FCIID).
The National Coordinator, however, emphasized that the Ag. IG of Police must prioritize Community Policing and collaborate with genuine Youth Organizations that are passionately complementing the Country’s Security Architecture, if he must succeed and improve on the performance of his predecessor.
Meanwhile, Amb. Mario, on behalf of the Youth Security Group, join million well wishers of the erstwhile IGP to send in farewell message, wishing him the best in his future endavours.
Still on the new Ag. IGP, the CONYSA Head said thus, “I am expecting the Ag. IG not to see his new appointment as a thing of self aggrandizement or personal attainedment of peak of Career, but to view it as a Divine elevation and Call to highest patriotic Service to Nation, with uncompromising resolve to combating the heightened insecurity situation across the Country.
He finally added that, “Mr President and Commander in Chief of Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who appointed you, including million Nigerians are expectant of positive result from you. You must, therefore, work assiduously in order to justify the confidence reposed in you,
while we wish you a successful Tenure in Office, we look forward to approach you for partnership and dialogue in towards strengthening the Country’s Security Architecture.
