APC Primaries: What Fayemi Did After He Stepped Down For Tinubu (Video)

The Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi stepped down for the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday night.

The governor explained that he was stepping down for the APC chieftain because he was still young and have a long political career before him.

He urged delegates to offer the support they would have given him to the former Lagos governor.

“I have come to a necessary and difficult decision. And that is to step down.

“I am prepared to sacrifice my ambition to be president of Nigeria.

“A supporter of democracy I would like to recommend to all delegates, is to offer the support you give me to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Fayemi said.

At the end of his speech he walked to where Tinubu was sitted and embraced him.
