AGAIE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL PARTNERS MITIS, SPONSOR 22 AGAIE INDIGENES TO STUDY AVIO AND FET COURSES

In his bid to prioritize Education, Agaie Local Government Chairman Hon. Ibrahim Hali Sayuti partners Minna Institute for Technology and Innovative Studies to sponsor 22 Agaie indigenes to study Assistant Vehicle inspection officers (AVIO) and National Innovative Diploma in Fire Engineering Technology (FET).

The sponsorship  cuts  across the 11 Wards in the Local Government irrespective of gender.

In his statement, the Chairman said the 2 courses are very important and have great career opportunities as the graduates of (FET) can pursue careers such as Fire Safety Officers, Fire Inspectors or Fire Fighters which are crucial in ensuring Public Safety and property protection, while the Graduates of (AVIO) can have several career opportunities such as Assistant Vehicle Inspection Officer, especially within the Local Government or relevant Agencies, and could also assist in Road Safety, Local Impact, Public Service and so on. This, he said, will cushion the high rate of unemployment in the Local Government.

Hr afded that, for equity and fairness, each Ward in the Local Government will have two slots and it will be on the basis of first come first serve.

The Forms are said to be available at the Chairman’s Office in the Local Government Headquarters, Agaie.
