Ghana President Pay A Courtesy Visit To President Buhari In Abuja

Buhari hosts Ghana President, Nana Akufo-Addo at State House, Abuja

Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo paid a courtesy call on his Nigerian counterpart Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja on Thursday.

Mr Akufo-Addo is the third president Buhari has hosted this week, accompanied by the president of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The leaders of Libya and the Central African Republic first visited him earlier in the week to discuss bilateral relations.

The purpose of the meeting between the African leaders was yet to be disclosed to State House correspondents at the time of filing this report.

Naija News however understands that President Akufo-Addo’s visit might be connected to his role as the Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

the Ghanaian leader also used the opportunity of the visit to condole with the government and people of Nigeria over the last Friday plane crash was killed Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, and ten other military officers in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
