Mohammed A. Mohammed addressing Newsmen
The Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG, Has expressed worries over the continues killings and displacement of hundreds of people in Shiroro Local Government of Niger State, while women and children live in hunger, abject poverty at an unacceptable level.
Speaking for the group, Comr. Mohammed A. Mohammed, the Head of Niger State Chapter, outrightly condemned the situation, demanding from all levels of Government more effort in securing the lives of the people and providing the needed amenities including food and shelter to reduce the suffering especially during this period of Ramadan.
In his words “The world suffers a lot, not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of good people”.
“Furthermore, CNG holds the silence of critical stakeholders in the state in the face of this anarchy and tribulation as most dangerous while believing that security is everyone’s business and all hands must be on deck to stop the killings.”
The CNG joins other well meaning Nigerlites and Nigerians to remind the Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, of the burden on him to take the issue of Governance and Security more seriously as the Chief Security Officer of the State.
The CNG hereby restates its commitment to supporting any genuine government and community effort in tackling these challengesvand call on Nigerlites to put our dear state in prayers for Allah’s intervention.
