Former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, has questioned the ideology of the newly unveiled coalition aimed at unseating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
Naija News reports that Kachukwu, while fielding questions on Arise Television’s Morning Show programme on Thursday, claimed that hatred for Tinubu drives the coalition.
Kachukuwu stated that he would not be part of a coalition that has no ideology beyond hating Tinubu, stressing that it is not the reason he is involved in politics.
According to him, Nigerians are his primary concern, and his focus is on solving the problems of Nigeria and its people.
He said, “The coalition, as far as I’m concerned, cannot be a coalition of strange bedfellows.
“What’s the ideology of the coalition? Hatred for Bola Tinubu. I can’t be part of a coalition that has no ideology beyond hating Bola Tinubu or just trying to procure power. That’s not my idea of politics. That’s not why I’m in politics.
“As far as I’m concerned, the Nigerians are my number one constituency. It is about solving the problems of Nigeria and Nigerians.”
