Gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed at least seven people during an attack in Gudashi village, Dankurmi district in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the community on motorcycles and attacked the innocent residents of the community.
The bandits during the attack also abducted nine villagers and rustled several cows.
Many residents of the affected community have reportedly deserted their houses because of fear of more attacks coming their way.
In another development, two gallant soldiers reportedly have been killed while troops of the Nigerian Army in Damasak were repelling an attack at the headquarters of Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State by the dreaded terrorist group.
A communique made available to newsmen on Monday by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, revealed that the soldiers were murdered while troops of Operation Lafiya Dole confronted the terrorists on Saturday, April 10, 2021.
