The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has again extended the break in the ongoing collation of results from 4pm to 7pm.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in charge of Kogi State, Gabriel Longpet, said the extension has become necessary since the results of the remaining three Local Government Areas were not yet available.
Out of the three remaining, only Igalamela-Odolu was available as the results for Lokoja local government and that of Ibaji were still being awaited.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently leading by a significant margin in the results of the 18 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Kogi State so far declared by the INEC.
The governorship candidate of the APC, Usman Ododo has won in 11 LGAs, his Social Democratic Party (SDP) rival, Muri Ajaka has won in six, while Leke Abejide of the Africa Democratic Party (ADC) has won in one LGA.
