Grammy-winning British singer, Ed Sheeran, has shared an encounter he had with Afrobeat superstar, Burna Boy.
The singer disclosed that he has never met anyone who smokes as much weed as Burna Boy.
He spoke on Burnas’s smoking escapade during the latest episode of the Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend podcast.
The ‘Shape Of You’ crooner recounted walking into the studio and getting confused by the air pollution of Burna Boy’s smoking.
Ed Sheeran stated that Burna Boy’s weed smoking is the most weed he had ever seen anyone ingest.
He said, “There’s an artist that I work quite a lot with called Burna Boy. I would say he is… That’s the most I’ve seen anyone ingest weed.
“He came to the studio, and I had a gig late on in the night. And it was very much chilled there [the studio], the door was closed. It was just smokes, smokes, smokes. And I remember walking in there to get a thing. It felt like I was not quite there [laughs].”
Burna Boy Loses Massively At 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards
Meanwhile, Burna Boy on Tuesday night lost all seven nominations at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards, which was held at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in America.
Naija News reports that the 32-year-old lost the Hip Hop Artist of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, and Best Live Performer of the Year categories to American rapper, Kendrick Lamar.
Burna Boy also lost the Hustler of the Year to rapper and filmmaker, 50 Cent and Best Collaboration of the Year for ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ featuring 21 Savage to Lil Durk and J. Cole’s ‘All My Life.’
The singer also failed to take home the award for Best Hip Hop Video for ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’, which he lost to rapper, Lil Uzi Vert and Song of the Year.
Meanwhile, Ghanaian artiste, Black Sherif won the Best International Flow category, defeating South Africa’s late AKA and K.O, France’s Gazo and Ninho, UK’s J Hus, Central Cee and others.
