The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has been laid to rest.

The Chief Imam of Oyo, Masud Ajokidero and other faithful held the final prayers for the remains of the monarch on Saturday.

This is coming after Naija News reported that the monarch died on Friday night in Ekiti State.

Oba Adeyemi died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.

A burial service was held for the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III shortly after prayers for his remains.
