Two persons have been feared dead in an accident involving the convoy of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State.
It was gathered that the accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday while the governor was going back to Maiduguri.
Zulum was returning from Mafa Local Government Area where he went for the membership registration and revalidation exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was learned the governor’s convoy ram into the vehicle conveying a district head of Borno in Lagos, Mai-Kanuribe.
The monarch and one other passenger were feared dead after their vehicle reportedly somersaulted after a tyre deflated.
Two injured victims were rushed to the hospital while corpses of the two deceased persons have been taken to Maiduguri.
Recall that last year, Zulum’s convoy was attacked by Boko Haram insurgents twice in one week.
