ISWAP Carry Out Reprisal Attack In Boko Haram Camp

The Islamic State of West Africa Province, ISWAP, have carried out reprisal attacks on Boko Haram terrorists.

Naija News reports that this is coming five days after a group of terrorists affiliated to Boko Haram eliminated 24 ISWAP Fighters.

Sources have disclosed to PRNigeria that the suspected ISWAP elements, carried out the reprisal at the camp of the Commander of Boko Haram, Bakoura Modou, in Lake Chad axis on Tuesday.

The SWAP fighters stormed Modou’s Lake Chad camp in 50 local speed boats yesterday.

More than 87 ISWAP jihadists were killed in the clash,” he said.

In other news, operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Kaduna State have rescued six kidnap victims from bandits in the state.

The security men are said to have engaged the armed bandits in a gun battle along Barde/Keffi Road in Kafanchan Local Government Area of the state.

Naija News learnt that the bandits were overpowered and had to flee into the forest, abandoning their victims.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the incident to newsmen in a statement on Thursday in Kaduna.

According to Jalige, the operatives had acted on a tip-off and trailed the bandits to a forest. He explained further that six of the kidnapped victims were successfully rescued unhurt.

According to him, the victims had been debriefed and subsequently reunited with their respective families.

“Concerted efforts are on high gear with a view to apprehending the fleeing bandits,” Jalige noted.
