The lawmaker representing Niger East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sani Musa, has expressed interest in the All Progressives Congress Chairmanship position.
Sani while giving the reason for contesting for the position said he wants to bring a new direction in the running of the party.
He further stated that he has the support of stakeholders in the state and with this, he would emerge as the next national chairman of the party.
He said, “I have the backing of relevant stakeholders in the state. I also hathe ve support of the majority of the members of the National Assembly, especially the Senators and many APC Governors. With their support, I will emerge the next National Chairman of the APC.
“I want to bring a new vision, new direction in the running of the APC to build the most acceptable platform that will continue to foster democratic tenets for constructive development and governance.”
Meanwhile, the likes of former governor Tanko Almakura, Senator Danjuma Goje, Abdullahi Adamu, Ali Modu Sheriff and Abdulazeez Yari have shown interest in the race.
