Police operatives in Haiti have disclosed that four people who assassinated the President, Jovenel Moise, have been killed.
According to Haiti police, the suspects were killed in a shootout with the security forces.
BBC reports that two other suspects have been arrested, while security operatives are still engaging other suspects in the nation’s capital Port-au-Prince.
The Police chief, Leon Charles was quoted to have said “They will be killed or captured.”
Naija News had earlier reported that unknown gunmen on Tuesday assassinated President Jovenel Moise of Haiti at his private residence.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the interim prime minister of Haiti, Claude Joseph, had said Moise was fatally wounded by the unidentified men.
The wife of the Haiti President who also sustained injuries during the attack has been flown to Florida where she is receiving treatment and is reported to be in a stable but critical condition.
