A former Governor of Borno State, Kassim Shettima on Friday said the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo despite his good personality can not win the 2023 presidential election.
The lawmaker representing Borno Central senatorial district stated this during an interview on Channels TV on Friday night.
He further stated that Osinbajo who is a presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress can not defeat the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.
According to Shettima, only the former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu can win the race for the ruling party.
He said Osinbajo is a nice man, adding that nice doesn’t win the election, but should be selling ice cream.
Shettima said, “Nobody has ever doubted the competence of Professor Osinbajo, but we believe that in terms of intellectual capacity, someone who is capable of winning the election, is Bola Tinubu.
“We need someone who can match and even overshadow the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar. Osinbajo is a good and nice man but nice men do not make good leaders, nice men should be selling ice cream”.
